Tai Chi Chattanooga's first Poke bowl restaurant is AWESOME!

Chattanooga now has a poke bowl restaurant and I was so excited when I found out we were getting one! Located between Firehouse Subs and David's Bridal on Gunbarrel. When we went they had only opened the day before. When you walk in you see the booths seem private as you can't see anyone sitting there until you pass by. Now, its kinda confusing on how to order so, I'll clear it up for you, before walking to the counter you grab a card and a pencil and check of what you want on or in your bowl or burrito. They have ramen, sushi or poke bowls. Here is my card as I was filling it out:
You can't go wrong with this place since you pick everything that goes in it. Everything was fresh and looked amazing! They should call it a rice box since it doesn't come in a bowl and I think its a cool concept. Since everything in my bowl is checked off on the sheet above, I won't name anything in it.
My fiancee got a ramen bowl with extra beef. The broth was spicy and VERY GOOD!!! The beef was flavorful and so tender it melted in our mouths.
They have bubble tea and for those of you who don't know what that is it's milk and whatever flavor mixed with tea and "bubble" beads on the bottom that's different flavored or flavored green tea. I got the milk tea with vanilla. I wasn't expecting it to taste good at all but, let me tell you, I would go back just to grab one to go! It was smooth and had a nice vanilla taste. This may be my new favorite drink!
My fiancee ordered the passionfruit green tea, its not sweet enough so, he ended up ordering the same thing as me.
Once people learn about this place its gonna be packed all the time! This place is the best thing to come to Chattanooga!

Ooltewah's newest restaurant has soul

Davis Wayne's is located in Cambridge Square in the old Cuban restaurant location. They opened back in October and honestly I wish I would've known about this place before now. Everyone is friendly and that makes you want to come back. Food is very good. The Pork Tenderloin is very good, not too spicy. The mac and cheese is off the chain, very cheesy! The greens are seasoned perfectly, which is hard to find in a restaurant. The broccoli is al dente and also perfectly seasoned and covered in real cheese. You can tell its not cheap, processed cheese. The fried corn is buttery and also seasoned right. The sweet potato casserole is good and is torched on top. Chicken is so tender not even a butter knife is needed to cut it, juicy and flavorful. The cornbread is great! Menu style is different. Now, the desserts are made from scratch every day. Mike's Tavern

Mike's Tavern is located at 5211 HWY 153 in Hixson behind California Tortilla and across the street from Smoothie King. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and seated. The waitress wasn't too far behind getting our drink order. For our appetizer, we ordered the Ahi Tuna over a bed of wasabi slaw. The tuna was so tender and so fresh it tasted like steak. Fish is slowly growing on me, guys. For entrees, I ordered Shrimp and Grits. Blackened jumbo shrimp served over pepper jack grits and finished with andouille cream sauce. The grits were so creamy it melted in your mouth and the shrimp had excellent flavor and wasn't too spicy. My fiance ordered the Grouper sandwich with Southern Slaw as the side. The sandwich had great flavor and is the best in town. The slaw has the perfect balance of vinegar and mayo. It's almost dry but, that's not a bad thing since you can actually taste everything.
