Bantam and Biddy - Downtown Chattanooga

Chattanooga's newest downtown restaurant is located at 728 Market Street. I wouldn't have heard of this place if not for someone tagging me on Instagram and boy, am I glad he did! Walking in its a very comfy, cozy place. Everything is nice and clean. And wouldn't you know that our server was the one one who runs their Instagram?! Talk about fate! Some may not be able to tell by their name that they are mainly known for their chicken, as bantam is a small breed of chicken. They serve breakfast all day and they start serving lunch at 11:30. They have fresh made juices, coffees and teas. We ordered the Apple Zing. It is very refreshing and you can taste the carrot and ginger along with the apple. 
I ordered the Big chicken Skillet. Its a skillet full of their home fries, onions, peppers, bacon, 3 eggs, cheese, and 3 chicken tenders. The home fries were cooked and flavored perfectly. The eggs were fluffy and the chicken was the best we have ever had! The chicken was so juicy and flavorful, in fact, it was so good its better than Cheddars! 
I also got a side of the chicken sausage. Again, very juicy and flavorful. 

My fiancee ordered the Fried Chicken and Cheddar Waffle. The waffles are awesome! They are thick and fluffy and the bourbon maple syrup isn't too sweet and pairs well with the waffle.
And finally, we ordered the chicken tacos. Three to an order on flour tortillas filled with eggs, cubes of chicken, cheddar cheese and pico. These are packed full and good. The only thing that would make this dish better would be shredded chicken instead of the cubed chicken. 
Upon paying we were told about this app that they are a part of. Its called MobileBytes. Basically, its a loyalty program all your points earned can be converted to rewards when spending levels are achieved. You can also pay, order online and in some restaurants it appears that you can skip the line. Stay tuned for part 2 of this place as we HAVE to go back to try the lunch menu and the desserts. Guys, you NEED to come here! The food is great and so is everyone that works here and the service was super fast!

Ooltewah's newest restaurant has soul

Davis Wayne's is located in Cambridge Square in the old Cuban restaurant location. They opened back in October and honestly I wish I would've known about this place before now. Everyone is friendly and that makes you want to come back. Food is very good. The Pork Tenderloin is very good, not too spicy. The mac and cheese is off the chain, very cheesy! The greens are seasoned perfectly, which is hard to find in a restaurant. The broccoli is al dente and also perfectly seasoned and covered in real cheese. You can tell its not cheap, processed cheese. The fried corn is buttery and also seasoned right. The sweet potato casserole is good and is torched on top. Chicken is so tender not even a butter knife is needed to cut it, juicy and flavorful. The cornbread is great! Menu style is different. Now, the desserts are made from scratch every day. Mike's Tavern

Mike's Tavern is located at 5211 HWY 153 in Hixson behind California Tortilla and across the street from Smoothie King. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and seated. The waitress wasn't too far behind getting our drink order. For our appetizer, we ordered the Ahi Tuna over a bed of wasabi slaw. The tuna was so tender and so fresh it tasted like steak. Fish is slowly growing on me, guys. For entrees, I ordered Shrimp and Grits. Blackened jumbo shrimp served over pepper jack grits and finished with andouille cream sauce. The grits were so creamy it melted in your mouth and the shrimp had excellent flavor and wasn't too spicy. My fiance ordered the Grouper sandwich with Southern Slaw as the side.
