Ihop, oh! Excuse me, it's Ihob now!
Everyone is still getting over the fact that Ihop changed their name to Ihob. You might have heard on the news, or not, that it is now International House of Burgers. Not breakfast, like we would like to think. So, why the name change? Well, due to the fact that business is slower in the afternoon and evening hours, they have 7 new burgers on their menu to bring in more business. Thats right people! The place we love going to for breakfast doesn't want to be known for that anymore! So, we decided to give them a try. I had the Cowboy BBQ burger with onion rings.
I love the fact that you can get onion rings as a side at no extra cost, unlike other places who can charge up to $2 or more for just a few (5 or 6 usually) onion rings, that's ridiculous! But, back to the burger! It was on the dry side and they don't season their meat so, the only thing that gives it flavor are the condiments. They don't ask how you want it cooked. (I like mine medium, thank you.) My man ordered the Mega Monster.
This burger is big, for obvious reasons. But, he said the same thing; dry and lacking flavor. Since the name change, it seems like service has gotten better and a little bit faster. There was a time I can remember it taking almost 20 minutes to get just to get a drink! So, my advice to IHOB: improve your burgers if that's what you want to be known for!
