Smokey Bones 2225 Gun barrel Road
Two weeks ago, my boyfriend and I went to Smokey Bones. When we walked in it took a minute for someone to notice us as it was kind of busy. When we did get seated our server was a very sweet girl. We ordered the fried green tomatoes as an app.
These have so far been the best ones I've ever had! They weren't mushy and they weren't too firm and they flavor was out of this world! Although, I would have had a different sauce to go with it instead of marinara, like, remoulade. While deciding on an entree, my boyfriend notices something that another server has in his hand as he's walking by our table and he says, "what's that?! We have to try that!" Well, "That" is the Bona-Fire. It's everything on what looks like a small grill. It comes out sizzling like a fajita plate but Better! If you are a meat lover this is the dish for you.
Now, this comes in a variety of sizes, it can feed 2, 3, or 4/5. We decided to get the one that serves 3 people. (I thought it was going to be much smaller.) Now, this is the kind of plate that is so good that you want to continue eating even after you are full! Yes, it was that good! The sausage had a spicy flavor to it and when mixed with sweet bbq sauce it was even better. The wings were not only flavorful but, were decent size, which is hard to find. The potato wedges were extra crispy, and weren't mushy or falling apart, just how I like them. The chicken was juicy and the steak was tender. The only thing that would make this better is if it came with a vegetable. We ordered coke slaw on the side.(No pic of that, sorry.) My boyfriend said it was cool and refreshing and to me it was too cold as I have sensitive teeth and I also thought it was too vinegar-y. Our server was great and kept our glasses full. All in all it was a great experience!
