Sticky Fingers at Hamilton Place

So, before I begin telling you all about our experience, I would like to tell you a little bit about us. My boyfriend has a degree in culinary from Florida Culinary Institute. I have a diploma in culinary from Culinard at Virginia College here in Chattanooga. We love going to different restaurants and trying new foods. That's what brought us to write a blog. These are just our opinion. We go to restaurants, fast food, and  wherever else we can find. Today, we went to Sticky Fingers at Hamilton Place. As we pulled into the parking lot, I wondered if they were even open as the parking lot was empty (it was 3:30). We walked in and were immediately seated. Though, there was only one other table of customers, it still took a couple of minutes for the waitress to come to our table to take our drink order. When we got our drinks, I excused myself to go to the restroom. Upon going into the stall I noticed the cover was missing that goes over the lock on the door. I like my privacy and I felt like it was violated even though there was no one else in the restroom. I got back to the table and our appetizer had come, The Sticky Trio. The fried pickles are out of this world! We decided to get the dry rub wings since there is sauce already on the table. They were great along with the potato skins. Our main course came, we decided to split the Smokehouse Club Salad. The chicken was warm and fresh but, made the lettuce warm. My boyfriend ordered the 18 Hickory Smoked Wings. The wings were the biggest wings I've ever seen! They had great flavor! I ordered the Memphis Bacon Cheeseburger, it was dry due to the fact that it was cooked well done and I wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked. It had very little barbeque sauce on it. Part of it was my fault, I didn't put any ketchup on it. The fries were awesome! The seasoning they put on them were they same as on the wings and it tastes great! For dessert, we ordered the bread pudding, it is big enough for 2 , maybe 3 people or more, had too much bread and not enough custard. The caramel and ice cream were good and it had good flavor overall.

Ooltewah's newest restaurant has soul

Davis Wayne's is located in Cambridge Square in the old Cuban restaurant location. They opened back in October and honestly I wish I would've known about this place before now. Everyone is friendly and that makes you want to come back. Food is very good. The Pork Tenderloin is very good, not too spicy. The mac and cheese is off the chain, very cheesy! The greens are seasoned perfectly, which is hard to find in a restaurant. The broccoli is al dente and also perfectly seasoned and covered in real cheese. You can tell its not cheap, processed cheese. The fried corn is buttery and also seasoned right. The sweet potato casserole is good and is torched on top. Chicken is so tender not even a butter knife is needed to cut it, juicy and flavorful. The cornbread is great! Menu style is different. Now, the desserts are made from scratch every day. Mike's Tavern

Mike's Tavern is located at 5211 HWY 153 in Hixson behind California Tortilla and across the street from Smoothie King. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and seated. The waitress wasn't too far behind getting our drink order. For our appetizer, we ordered the Ahi Tuna over a bed of wasabi slaw. The tuna was so tender and so fresh it tasted like steak. Fish is slowly growing on me, guys. For entrees, I ordered Shrimp and Grits. Blackened jumbo shrimp served over pepper jack grits and finished with andouille cream sauce. The grits were so creamy it melted in your mouth and the shrimp had excellent flavor and wasn't too spicy. My fiance ordered the Grouper sandwich with Southern Slaw as the side. The sandwich had great flavor and is the best in town. The slaw has the perfect balance of vinegar and mayo. It's almost dry but, that's not a bad thing since you can actually taste everything.
